We tell you honestly before you book
Not every safe can be opened without drilling, and not every safe is worth the cost of forced entry relative to its replacement value. Before you book a callout, describe your safe to us over the phone — make, model, and what happened. We will tell you honestly whether we can assist, what method is likely required, and what it will cost.
We do not take callouts for jobs we cannot do. We will never charge a travel fee to tell you on-site what we could have told you on the phone. That is the honest way to run this.
What we can do for your safe
We are specialists in mechanical and key-operated safe locks. Electronic and digital safes assessed case by case — phone first.
Safe Opening
Non-destructive opening where possible. Failed electronic keypad or jammed mechanism. We assess the safe type and method before starting. Destructive entry as a last resort only — and we tell you the cost upfront.
Key-Operated Safe Service
Replacement keys cut for key-operated safes. Lock cylinder serviced or replaced. Lost key with no spare — we can sometimes decode the lock cylinder to cut a new key without drilling.
Strongroom Locks
Strongroom and vault door lock changes, re-keying, and servicing. Full steel door locks and multi-point locking mechanisms. Phone to describe your strongroom before booking.
Safe Lock Servicing
Worn key or stiff lock mechanism. Lock serviced and lubricated. Worn parts replaced where available. Prevent a failure before it becomes an emergency.

Not sure what you have or what it's worth repairing? Bring it to our workshop in Faerie Glen. We assess the safe, confirm what service is required, and give you a firm quote before any work begins.
Types of safes we work on
Each type has different opening requirements. This is why we ask you to phone first — the answer depends on exactly what you have.
Key-Operated Safe
Operated by a physical key only. Lost key can often be decoded from the lock and a new key cut. Lock cylinder can be replaced if decoding is not possible.
Electronic / Digital Safe
Battery-powered keypad or biometric entry. Often the fault is a flat battery, not a lock failure. We assess electronic safes case by case — not all models are serviceable without manufacturer involvement.
Strongroom & Vault Door
Heavy steel doors with multi-point locking. These require site assessment first. Phone to describe your door and we will advise on feasibility.
Wall Safe & Floor Safe
Small in-wall or in-floor safes common in Pretoria homes. Usually key-operated. Most can be opened non-destructively if the mechanism is intact.

What to tell us when you call
- 🏷️Make and model of the safe if visible on the door or inside the door frame.
- 🔒Type of locking mechanism — key-operated, electronic keypad, or unknown.
- ❓What happened — lost key, jammed mechanism, dead battery, or unknown.
- 📐Approximate size — small home safe, full-height floor safe, wall safe, or strongroom door.
- 📍Location — workshop visit or callout. Some safes are better brought to us; others are fixed in place.
- 📸Send us a clear photo via WhatsApp. A high-resolution photo of the keyhole or electronic keypad sent to 083 980 3061 before you call helps us assess the safe type and confirm whether we can assist — often without a callout at all.
- 🔓Is the safe currently open or locked? This significantly affects the method required and the cost. A locked safe with no key is a very different job to an open safe where the lock simply needs to be changed or serviced.
Small safes can be brought to our workshop at 2 Sauer Place, Faerie Glen. Mon–Fri 08:00–17:00. Phone ahead so we can confirm we have time available.
